Relationship between Professional Ethics & Social Anomie (Procrastination) among the Employees

Abstract:

Background: Procrastination is a common phenomenon among people as well as in the workplace and among employees in organizations who spend time with delays in completing some tasks and some have made this time their way of life. Method: This research is applied in terms of purpose and the research design is descriptive correlation. The statistical population is the staff of the Rural Cooperative Organization of Kurdistan Province, whose number is 330 people. Using the Cochranchr('39')s formula, the sample size was determined to be 178 people, and to eliminate the effects of missing, incomplete, etc. questionnaires, about another ten percent of the sample size. Initial was added and finally 195 questionnaires were completed by the staff of the Rural Cooperative Organization of Kurdistan Province by simple random sampling with complete information. Pearson correlation and multiple regression methods were used to analyze the data and test the hypotheses. Results: The research findings indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between professional ethics with dimensions (responsibility, honesty and respect for others, justice and compassion and loyalty) and social anomie (procrastination). Conclusion: The results indicate that by adhering to the principles of professional work ethic can be reduced procrastination in the organization and by institutionalizing these principles in the organization leads to increased organizational efficiency and reduced client dissatisfaction
